Napa Valley & Cloverdale, CA

After leaving Deb and Earl's we traveled through the Napa valley and stopped at Cloverdale, CA. There are more grape vines in this part of CA than fish in the sea. Well almost. There are vineyards all over the valleys on the sides of the mountains and even up in the mountains. They are all very well kept and the wines are popular as well as some we've never heard of or seen in stores.

We, (Jan, John, Dave and I) took a picnic lunch and made the trip over to Point Arena on the coast to see the lighthouse. Well, the wind was really blowing hard and it was cold (51), so much for the picnic but after looking over the lighthouse we drove up the coast road and found a pull out and had lunch in the car. The view was great.

We also went to Calistoga, CA to the Petrified Forest. A very nice park with a lot of Redwoods that have been uncovered that are Petrified.

Along the way we saw a lot of beautiful flowers. Roses around the vineyards, wild flowers and some flowers growing wild that are usually grown in gardens.
